For Pocholo De Leon Gonzales, The VoiceMaster of the Philippines, helping people find their voice has always included helping them recognize their potential, build a livelihood, and create opportunities for others. His journey with Go Negosyo began in 2005. Twenty-one years later, he continues that commitment as a Go Negosyo mentor, Kapatid Mentor Me (KMME) speaker, volunteer resource person, and one of the original Angelpreneurs.
His entrepreneurial advocacy grew alongside CreatiVoices Productions, which he founded in 2005. By turning his voice acting skills into a professional business and opening training opportunities for aspiring artists, Gonzales demonstrated how creativity could become an enterprise. That experience gave him something concrete to share with entrepreneurs: the lessons of building a service around a skill, finding customers, earning their trust, and developing opportunities beyond individual freelance projects.
Go Negosyo recognized him with its Most Inspiring Bataeño Microentrepreneur Award in 2009. On July 28, 2015, at Go Negosyo’s tenth-anniversary celebration at Green Sun Hotel in Makati, he also received a Mentor Me award for his contribution to supporting Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises. Those recognitions reflect a mentoring commitment that continued through provincial seminars, individual consultations, and online learning.
As a KMME speaker, Gonzales brought his experience to entrepreneurs outside Metro Manila. On August 10, 2017, he delivered Entrepreneurial Mindset and Values Formation at Marinduque State College in Boac, Marinduque, before more than 100 MSME participants. He discussed the beginnings of his voiceover business, setting goals, developing productive habits, and recognizing opportunities. His message encouraged participants to build businesses around something they cared about, solve a real problem, and create lasting value. Fellow Angelpreneur Henry Tenedero followed with a marketing session.
On August 23, 2017, Gonzales spoke at the Casablanca Hotel and Convention Center in Legazpi, Albay, delivering “Entrepreneurial Mindset of a Successful Entrepreneur.” He shared the challenges of establishing CreatiVoices and discussed vision, goal setting, continuous learning, and the role of entrepreneurship in contributing to society. His story showed participants how a specialized creative skill could become the foundation of a business.
His provincial mentoring continued on June 14, 2018, when he spoke at a Kapatid Mentor Me launch in Salcedo, Eastern Samar, held at the Farmer’s Training Center of Eastern Samar State University’s Salcedo Campus. He again presented on entrepreneurial mindset, explaining how passion, clear goals, and purposeful action had shaped his journey. Fellow entrepreneur PJ Lanot also spoke at the event. His public speaking directory additionally records a DTI and Go Negosyo Mentor MicroEnterprise engagement in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, on April 4, 2019.
Gonzales also contributed through Mentor Me on Wheels, bringing mentoring into settings where people could seek practical advice directly. His speaking portfolio records a 2018 Creativity & Innovation engagement under the program. On December 12, 2019, he participated in its free consultations at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay, helping OFWs and seafarers explore business and livelihood opportunities.
His mentoring addressed relationships as well as business ideas. On October 4, 2019, he joined the Go Negosyo Mentor Me Online App session at Bo’s Coffee, Glorietta 5, Makati, which was broadcast through Facebook Live. The discussion, “How to Build and Nurture Good Work Relationships,” focused on understanding customers, delivering value, and maintaining meaningful professional relationships.
During the pandemic, Gonzales continued through digital platforms. On July 10, 2020, he appeared on Go Negosyo Mentor Me Online, providing individual guidance to an aspiring baking entrepreneur and an online retailer. He discussed branding, business differentiation, perseverance, and understanding one’s strengths, followed by a lecture on 12 Qualities and Mindsets of the Entrepreneur. His portfolio also records participation in the 2020 Mentor Me Online: Balik Kabuhayan Series. A feature published in April 2025 further documented his involvement in Go Negosyo’s free online mentorship, highlighting purpose, passion, innovation, service, and entrepreneurial mindset.
These documented engagements form part of a broader national entrepreneurship advocacy. Gonzales spoke at the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit in Cagayan de Oro on November 24, 2016, and the first Youth Entrepreneurship Summit at Eastern Visayas State University in Tacloban on March 3, 2017. His DTI youth entrepreneurship engagements also reached Davao, Oroquieta, and Ozamiz in 2019. On March 28, 2025, he served as a Go Negosyo mentor for Negosyo Youthpreneur at Taguig National High School, helping students explore how their interests and abilities could develop into entrepreneurial opportunities.
The same thinking appeared in his Students’ Digest article, “Going Freelance: Creating Goals as a First Step.” He encouraged readers to recognize their strengths and consider the business opportunities surrounding their talents. Through his Youth Entrepreneurship Academy, he further developed that advocacy into entrepreneurship education, mentoring, immersion, and business development for young people.
Today, his work extends into AI Negosyo, alongside fellow Go Negosyo mentor Armando “Butz” Bartolome, helping Filipino entrepreneurs understand how AI can support their businesses. The tools have evolved, while the commitment to sharing knowledge and creating opportunity continues.
Across his 21 years with Go Negosyo, Gonzales has brought together the experiences of a voice artist, business founder, youth advocate, and mentor. From provincial KMME seminars to consultations for overseas workers and online sessions for emerging entrepreneurs, his work connects personal talent with practical possibilities.
For The VoiceMaster, finding your voice also means understanding what you can contribute, building something useful, and helping others discover their own opportunity.
