About 5,000 elementary students gathered together in the gymnasium of Baclaran Elementary School for the Big Apple Day 2015.
Apple Drive Project founder RJ “Appleboy” Garcia was joined by his friends on the event, – Titser Fe of “Education Under the Bridge,” Youtube sensation Mikey Bustos, and representatives from JCI Makati. The kids were entertained with song and dance performances from GMA 7 stars, and also a storytelling session by Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales.
The VoiceMaster drove the point of healthy eating home by telling the story of Super Appleboy, who chose to eat apples instead of candies. Of course, the VoiceMaster amazed the audience by telling the story using many different character voices.
The Appledrive Project is a campaign that educates indigent kids in both rural and urban areas in the Philippines to advocate a healthier lifestyle by eating apples, instead of candies or chocolates.
